Those who are able to manage their time tend to be more productive, less stressed, and more successful. When you have the space for opportunities, opportunities will show at its greatness. That is one of the Benefits of time management and I must say, that it is a great one.

1. Set Priorities

Most important aspects of effective time management is setting priorities. When you know what your priorities are, it’s easier to determine how to spend your time. Ask yourself what is most important and what can wait.

2. Make A List

Writing that Sh*t out, by making a list of everything you need to do is so helpful in many ways. First, it can help you get a better understanding of what and how much that needs to be done. This is helpful to avoid the feeling of being overwhelmed. Secondly, you see which tasks are most important and need to be tackled first.[the_ad id=”869″]

. Set Deadlines

Start any of your tasks, by setting a deadline. Having a specific date or time when something needs to be done can motivate you to get started. Once you’ve set a deadline, make sure you stick to it and hold yourself accountable.

5. Take A Break

Working non-stop is not an effective use of time. In fact, it can actually lead to decreased productivity. Make sure to take breaks throughout the day to recharge and refocus. Taking a few minutes to yourself can help you come back to your work feeling refreshed and ready to tackle whatever is next on your list.

6. Say No

One of the best things to do when it comes to time management, is saying no. If you’re taking on more than you can handle, it will only lead to stress which will decline productivity. So, if someone asks you to do something that you don’t have time for, don’t be afraid to say “No”. Saying “No”, is also a form of self care.

7. Delegate

If you’re finding yourself with too much on your plate, delegate some of the tasks to someone else. This is be a great way to get things done and free up some time. Of course, it’s important to make sure that the person you’re delegating to is actually able and willing to do the task.

8. Eliminate Distractions

To be productive, it’s important to eliminate distractions. This means turning off your phone, closing social media tabs, and anything else that might take away from your focus. Blocking out the sounds in your space is important when you’re trying to get something done, it’s important to give it your undivided attention.

9. Set A Time Limit

Set a time limit for yourself. This can help you stay focused and avoid spending too much time on one Tasks. Knowing that you only have a certain amount of time to work on something, can help you stay productive.

10. Take Care Of Yourself

Last but not least, remember to take care of yourself. This means making sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and taking some time for yourself. When you’re not feeling your best, it’s difficult to be productive. So make sure to make time for Self Care.

How To Thrive With Style While On A Budget

We all want to look and feel great, but for many of us that can be challenge, when you are Thriving on a budget.

It would be so d*mn amazing to be able to go shopping all the time. However, the reality for most of us is that by the time we’ve spent money on house and kids, there’s just limited funds left to live that superstar lifestyle that we all deserve. BUT with a little adjustments, we ALL Can thrive on a budget.!

Read on and I’ll share with you the ways I try to look and feel great on a budget!

1. e-Bay

When most people think of e-Bay, they think of pre-loved clothes and products. However, when it comes to fashion and beauty there are lots of well known Stores that sell end of season items, and returns in perfect condition.

This is a fantastic opportunity to pick up some real bargains and great quality products at discounted prices.

One of my favorite things to buy on e-Bay are shoes and boots. You can get some brilliant bargains without spending a fortune.

Friends, just wait a few months and I promise you, it will make an appearance on e-Bay!! Also if you’re going to shop e-Bay, Make sure to shop through Rakuten, so you can get cash back on your purchase! I also Promise you, it’s worth it.

2. Warehouse Sales.

Many Brands have warehouse sales, to clear out inventory, to Make room for new inventory. This is a great way to get items at a really low price. These items are generally in great condition, however they’re now out of season or low inventory count. With it now costing the company more to store the item, rather than the sell of the item.  Friends, you now get the low sale price.

3. On-line Outlet Stores

There are Hundreds of on-line outlet stores where you can find bargains every day. There are too many to list here, but my absolute favorite is Amazon. You can Find it on Amazon in a variety of prices. Check Out my Post on Favorite Amazon Items for a Large Family.  Also, you can choose to have your items shipped together, to save on shipping waste.

4. Get Cashback When You Buy

Getting cashback on your shopping can bring down your bill significantly. I recommend Rakuten. It’s so easy to use and nice to see a little bit of cash building every time you shop!

5. Stop Buying Things You Don’t Need

You don’t need to change your style to look and feel great. I always say start looking from within. Sometimes all you need is a little Self Motivation. By saving money you will have more to spend on things you love and including a little self care!!

I hope this has given you some ideas of how you can buy New, Higher Priced items a Budget.  AND still Thrive by looking and feeling your best!!

Why You Should Be Thrifting Now!

Why You Should Be Thrifting Now!

Hey, you HEY!! Why are you not thrifting? It’s great for the environment, saves you money, and helps support the local community. I’ve listed a few things that I believe are reasons to start thrifting.

  • Thrifting helps our environment, plain simple. As someone with a fashion degree, this has always been a very important reason that I try to limit my consumption (or find sustainable ways to repurpose clothing). The BEST and most sustainable way to shop is by shopping secondhand! Whether that’s Goodwill, Salvation Army, a local thrift shop, Plato’s Closet, etc. you are helping the environment.
  • If you didn’t already know this, the fashion industry is the SECOND most toxic industry right behind oil/petroleum. You probably would’ve NEVER thought that to be possible! I remember seeing the entire creation and consumption process in the documentary True Cost and if you need any more motivation on top of this post, you need to watch it. It really allows you to think about our actual wants vs. needs
  • You’ll also be sad to find out that most of your clothing that’s donated to Goodwill, or other big chain secondhand stores, is sent overseas to be sold. This hurts local economies and takes away from artisans who need to sell goods to survive! Buying from these thrifts shops helps to keep these items out of landfills and out of resale markets in third world countries.
  • HUGE reason. Kids grow in the middle of the night, really you kiss and tuck a 2feet tall person into bed and wake up to a 4feet tall person. Believe me, I’ve seen this happen. Secondhand is always a great option for their growing bodies. You can find some great secondhand clothing, if you take the time to look.

I know that a lot of people think of Thrifting as old ragged, ugly clothing. But if you give Thrifting a try, I promise you will find some great treasures. Hey, you might even find your next side hustle! “One closet purge, is another closet treasure”-Closetevict
